NIS America and Nippon Ichi Software have just launched a demo for Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero, now available on the Nintendo eShop, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
The demo allows players a sneak peek into the first two chapters of the narrative, and what’s fantastic is that you can carry over your save data to the full game when it’s officially released.
Brought to you by the creative minds behind the Disgaea series, this grid-less tactical turn-based RPG features Marona, a young girl who has the unique ability to speak with Phantoms. Alongside her steadfast Phantom companion, Ash, she travels across the oceanic realm of Ivoire, offering help to all those in need.
The storyline thickens when an army of ghost pirates launches an attack, urging Marona and her new ally, Apricot, to gather a legendary squad that once conquered these eerie opponents.
Throughout the game, you’ll be tasked with recruiting Phantoms, binding them to various objects, merging them with Gadgets, or even letting them fuse with Marona to unleash epic abilities designed to take down the Shipwreck Fleet.
The publisher has highlighted several key features of the game:
Play It Your Way: Assemble a squad from over 50 unique unit types and lead them into battle. Your strategic creativity is the only limit!
Phantom Possession: Engage in tactical, turn-based RPG combat using the Confine system, where befriended Phantoms can merge with items to aid you in your struggles!
Light-hearted Adventure: While Marona is on a mission to rescue her dear friend Ash, expect plenty of fun adventures and the chance to forge new friendships along the way.
Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero is set to launch both physically and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo Switch on January 30, 2025.
