Hold onto your controllers! There’s some buzzing news from 2XKO lighting up social media, adding a splash of thrill to the otherwise ordinary month. While it’s technically just news about an upcoming development update video, we’re now set to receive a comprehensive update on game changes, details about Jinx, and insights into the next Alpha Lab test quite soon.
The man behind this exciting revelation? None other than Ben Forbes, the editor-in-chief at 2XKO, who took to Twitter to spill some beans. He mentioned, “We’ve just wrapped up filming for the next 2XKO update! We’re currently in the editing and production phase, but here’s the scoop: expect a detailed look at gameplay tweaks since the first Alpha Lab, including those involving Jinx, additional context for Alpha Lab 2, and even a showmatch featuring the dev team!”
Ben’s tweet didn’t stop there; he added, “This update goes pretty deep, so the video’s going to be quite lengthy—probably around an hour. We’re aiming to release it in the last week of March. We aren’t quite at the stage of hosting PowerPoint livestreams globally yet, but maybe someday…”
However, temper your expectations slightly: Ben was clear that this update won’t feature any new character reveals, so hold off on any speculations for now.
Last year, the 2XKO team left us with a promise of new info coming in February. Instead, game director Shaun Rivera shared some changes directly via Twitter. Notably, these changes include a shift in scope for the upcoming Alpha Lab test and the introduction of an innovative new fuse for the game.
It appears that the timeline at Riot has been tweaked a bit, causing the February update to slide into this month along with a revised plan for Alpha Lab tests. Regardless, with the game still slated for release this year, it’ll be great to get refreshed details on the current developments, ongoing projects, and maybe even where 2XKO will make its next grand appearance.
Are you planning to tune in for this update? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
