Nintendo has rolled out an exciting new app called Nintendo Today, designed to function much like a daily calendar tailored for gaming enthusiasts.
Each day, the app will bring you a mix of fresh content, including the latest updates, videos, and comics related to popular Nintendo games and beloved characters from selected franchises.
Following the Nintendo Direct event focusing on the Nintendo Switch 2, scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, you’ll find comprehensive details about the next iteration of the portable home console straight on the app.
Shigeru Miyamoto shared some insights, saying, “Since 2011, Nintendo Direct presentations have been a direct channel to deliver news to you. Over time, these have become must-watch events for many of you, and we deeply appreciate it.”
“While we’ll continue with the Nintendo Direct broadcasts, we’re thrilled to introduce a new platform built on the same principle of delivering information directly—our new app, Nintendo Today. Envision this as a daily calendar where you can explore various Nintendo happenings. Daily, we’ll serve you tons of content focusing on Nintendo games and characters."
“Post the Nintendo Direct dedicated to the new Nintendo Switch 2 on April 2nd, expect daily updates and news about the upcoming console right through the Nintendo Today app.”
Here’s what stands out about the app:
