Just last week, Resist, the popular game, rolled out its first update since launching on PlayStation VR2. Fans of Binary Mill’s thrilling open-world city adventure are in for a treat, as the PS5 Pro now defaults to a smooth 120Hz display, enhancing the immersive first-person experience. This update also fixes a few pesky issues. Players will no longer encounter social screen tearing, the rare glitch where characters fall through the map is addressed, and there’s a fix for the language change bug that previously resulted in a stubborn black screen.
The game’s creators shared the update details on Twitter, announcing the launch of Resist’s first PlayStation VR2 update. It’s packed with fixes, such as support for the PS5 Pro’s 120Hz mode. These improvements certainly elevate the gameplay, and the post even included a link to more information.
Originally debuting on Oculus Quest in 2021 and coming to PC VR the following year, Resist has often been likened to the revered Spider-Man games that are staples on Sony consoles. The enhanced PS VR2 version, therefore, feels like a perfect fit for the platform. Although features like eye tracking might remain exclusive to this version, PC players are hopeful about accessing similar high refresh rates in the future. However, Binary Mill has yet to comment on this possibility.
On another note, the developer gave a brief update on their upcoming Quest game, Into Black, which is also heading to PS VR2. They teased fans, saying, “It’s looking real good, and it’s not too far away now,” hinting at exciting things to come.
