Last week was quite an interesting one for gamers on Steam, with RuneScape: Dragonwilds making quite the entrance by becoming the second highest-grossing game of the week. This remarkable feat comes hot on the heels of its release on April 15th. Jagex’s latest offering managed to garner a whopping 52,641 players simultaneously at its peak, as per numbers from SteamDB. It’s not often we see a fresh title from Jagex, and so far, it’s making quite the splash.
At the top of the charts, Counter-Strike 2 retained its spot as the highest grossing game for yet another week. RuneScape: Dragonwilds debut meant that Schedule 1 slipped down to third place. Meanwhile, the Steam Deck continues to hold strong, securing fourth position once again.
Making a triumphant return to the Top Ten, Action RPG Last Epoch climbed an impressive 76 places to land in fifth place, thanks to the excitement surrounding its second season. The co-op horror game REPO settled comfortably in sixth.
In a bit of a downturn, Marvel Rivals slipped four positions to seventh, whereas Baldur’s Gate 3 from Larian clawed its way up a notch, largely because of an ongoing discount that has kept interest alive.
Amidst some technical hitches, Tempest Rising, a spiritual successor to the beloved Command and Conquer series, managed a remarkable debut, landing the tenth spot.

1. Counter-Strike 2, Valve
