Fireproof Games has just dropped their latest VR creation, “Ghost Town,” a game that’s making waves after the studio’s success with “The Room: A Dark Matter,” one of the top-rated VR puzzle games out there.
Available now on Quest 2 and Quest 3 headsets, “Ghost Town” is set to expand its reach to PC VR and PSVR 2 later this year. While it diverges from the familiar terrain of The Room series, it keeps the studio’s signature focus on intricate puzzles and gripping narratives.
Though the game is infused with a supernatural vibe, the developers steer clear of labeling it a full-on horror experience. Instead, they weave suspense and mystery into the very fabric of its gameplay.
After nearly four years in the making, Fireproof Games describes “Ghost Town” as a major leap forward, especially with its lineup of fully motion-captured characters.
Critics are already raving about the game’s stunning visuals, even on Quest headsets, transporting players to a meticulously crafted 1980s London setting.
While there’s no confirmed release date for the PC VR and PSVR 2 versions, you can dive into Ghost Town now on Quest 2, Quest 3, and Quest 3S for $30.
