ASRock’s upcoming Radeon RX 9070 series graphics cards have made an appearance online, showcasing some intriguing custom versions, including the Steel Legend and Taichi models.
Insight into ASRock’s Custom RX 9070 GPUs Before Their Official Launch
It looks like ASRock is gearing up to introduce a solid lineup featuring AMD’s RDNA 4 GPUs, specifically the Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT. While other AIB partners haven’t yet released "official" images, ASRock’s offerings have surfaced on the web, displaying three distinct series: Steel Legend, Taichi, and Challenger. The Taichi series appears to be ASRock’s top-of-the-line model, boasting an elegant triple-fan setup and a hefty heatsink, which justifies its three-slot size.
What’s particularly noteworthy about the Taichi model is the inclusion of a 12V-2×6 power connector. Not all models will integrate this feature, as AMD has left this option to its partners, based on each model’s power demands. This connector can support up to 600W, suggesting that the Taichi model is built to handle high specs and has excellent overclocking potential.
Moving on, the Steel Legend version is positioned as ASRock’s mid-range option and sports a sleek mix of white and silver tones. This version employs a 2.5-slot triple-fan layout. Unlike the Taichi, it doesn’t come with the 12V-2×6 connector but instead uses a more conventional 2x 8-pin configuration, which is typical for AMD’s AIB models, aside from a few of the premium versions like the Taichi.
As for when these models will hit the shelves, it’s reasonable to anticipate their release around next week. This time frame aligns with the rumors about AMD beginning pre-orders for its RX 9070 series GPUs.
The anticipation builds as we await these GPUs’ arrival, with excitement already bubbling among enthusiasts eager to see what ASRock’s latest graphics cards will bring to the table.
