Dead by Daylight fans are in for a treat as Behaviour Interactive reveals an exciting new crossover with the anime Tokyo Ghoul, introducing The Ghoul, also known as Ken Kaneki, as a formidable new Killer. Currently available for players to test on Dead by Daylight’s Steam public test build, this eagerly anticipated addition will officially launch on April 2.
Since its inception, Dead by Daylight has become known for its variety of fascinating crossovers. By seamlessly integrating distinct horror characters and aesthetics, the game has previously featured collaborations with franchises like Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and even Stranger Things. Classic horror icons from movies like A Nightmare on Elm Street and Hellraiser have also made their way into its dark and eerie world. Now, anime enthusiasts have something thrilling to look forward to as this celebrated series takes center stage in Dead by Daylight.
Behaviour has put rumors to rest by officially confirming that Ken Kaneki will indeed be part of Dead by Daylight, promising a dynamic and thrilling experience with one of the “most kinetic killers” in the game’s history. On April 2, players will witness The Ghoul’s terrifying introduction, a nod to Kaneki’s dramatic origins in the anime, where his life was irrevocably changed by the transplantation of a ghoul organ. Players can harness The Ghoul’s unique skill, “Kagune Leap,” deploying tentacles to swiftly traverse the map and catch unsuspecting survivors.
Curious about when this exciting crossover will roll out? It’s already live on Steam’s public test build, with the full launch set for April 2. Players can try out this fascinating addition now!
Once The Ghoul makes contact with a survivor, the killer transforms to enter Enraged Mode, allowing for an extra Kagune Leap and faster speed to chase down survivors. Moreover, the crossover doesn’t stop with just one character; it brings a range of stylish cosmetics inspired by Tokyo Ghoul. This includes outfits and accessories such as the Rize Kamishiro outfit, the redolent Rabbit Costume for Yui Kimura, Renato Lyra’s Hide Costume, Nea Karlsson’s Eto Costume, and The Ghoul’s fierce Awakened Ghoul Outfit. Additionally, four Very Rare Masks for characters like Jonah Vasquez, Jake Park, and David King add extra flair to the roster.
Those participating in the PTB can also experiment with new features on the horizon, including a surrender option that allows players to tactically end a match while keeping some of their earned Bloodpoints and progress intact. This update, alongside various bug fixes for nuances like audio and character movements, promises to refine the overall gameplay experience. With these exciting changes, Dead by Daylight continues to offer thrilling adventures, now enriched with the gripping world of Tokyo Ghoul.
