On the eve of a much-anticipated update, all was calm in the gaming world. Dedicated Xbox enthusiasts stayed glued to their screens late into the night, immersed in their virtual adventures. Suddenly, a notification appeared—an unexpected system update was ready to download. It promised a slew of fixes and exciting new features, sparking a wave of surprise among players. Moments after the download completed, gamers eagerly returned to their quests, battling virtual foes with renewed enthusiasm.
Hey Insiders, buckle up because we’ve got a quick but fun-filled community update to share with you! First off, the team wishes you all a joyful holiday season and a safe new year! While I have to admit I’m not a fan of the cold and early sunsets this time of year brings, it does make for perfect weather to cozy up with some Xbox games!
As in prior years, we’ve hit pause on releasing preview builds for both consoles and PCs to make sure everything runs smoothly for everyone enjoying Xbox during the holidays. But rest assured, we’re already hard at work planning future updates! Your feedback remains invaluable, and our team is on standby to tackle any issues that pop up. Don’t forget to keep an eye on the Insider Hub for fresh content throughout December and January!
From Our Team to You
We’re immensely grateful for each and every one of you in this fantastic community. Being part of the Xbox Insider Program is something I’m incredibly proud of, and your support means the world to us. As we wrap up another year, I asked some team members to share what they’re up to when they’re not hard at work. Here’s a glimpse into their plans:
Jon is aiming to wrap up ‘Indiana Jones and the Great Circle’ and dive into the ‘Ode to Castlevania’ DLC for Vampire Survivors.
Joshua is excited to revisit classic holiday films and delve into ‘Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.’
Tim finds himself seeking challenges with ‘Nine Sols’ and is looking forward to spending quality time with family visiting from afar.
Donovan can’t wait to dive into ‘Path of Exile 2,’ cherish time with family, and enjoy some nostalgic Christmas movies to lift his holiday spirit.
Sally is all about indulging in cookies, savoring cozy games, and crossing her fingers for new PowerWash Simulator DLC, all while spending time with loved ones.
Leland has an annual tradition: each December, he dedicates a week to immersing himself in two chosen story-driven games from his carefully curated list, fully disconnecting from the world to explore immersive tales in solitude.
As for me, finishing the Black Ops 6 camo challenge has finally freed me to enjoy the game itself! I’m also setting my sights on completing the achievements for Aliens: Dark Descent while keeping Jack Frost at bay and ensuring my geese’s pond doesn’t freeze over like it has many times before.
And what about you? We’d love to hear what you’re up to this month—whether it’s about the games you’re diving into or your holiday plans. Join the conversation on our subreddit’s December Community update post, which you’ll find pinned at the top. I’ll be dropping in as ScantilyCloud to chat and answer any questions. And feel free to suggest any 2024 game recommendations as well—after all, we can never have enough in our gaming backlog!
