Eager to finally dive into Dune Awakening after all the buzz? Well, get ready because you’ll soon have your chance. A free open beta weekend is set from May 9 to May 12, giving you a sneak peek into the game.
To join in, make sure you wishlist the game before May 9. Doing so might nab you a spot, or you could snag one of the “thousands” of beta codes the team will hand out over the weekend. It’s open, but with a bit of luck involved—think of it as a door slightly ajar.
Interestingly, this beta lands just ahead of the game’s initial release date on May 15, which got postponed so Funcom could fine-tune everything for the big launch.
During the beta, you can explore the first two regions, which offer around 20 hours of gameplay. You’ll dive into Research Facilities, test early class abilities, and engage in some PvP at ship crash sites. It’s a solid taste of what’s to come. If you’re curious, we’ve just released a new preview diving into this part of the game.
