PQube and Inti Creates have announced that Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark will make its way to the Nintendo Switch.
This gripping 2D action-adventure, painted with gothic shades, unfolds in the mystic Demon Realm. This is a place plagued by unending wars among Demon Lords who are eternally in conflict for dominance.
When Kirikia and Masha, loyal maids serving Demon Lord Maxim, return to find their castle in ruins, destroyed by the forces of rival Demon Lord Lyzenorg, they embark on a daring quest. Their mission? To restore Maxim’s power and set the stage for an epic tale of vengeance and recovery!
The developers have detailed some captivating features of the game:
Gal*Gun-vania: The game has evolved into a true metroidvania. As you delve into the depths of the Demon Realm with your upgradeable characters, you’ll uncover a nearly infinite array of combos and possibilities.
Revive Your Allies: Every time you locate and revive one of Maxim’s lost vassals, you’ll reinforce and expand your home base—the Demon Lord’s castle. Bolster your fortress to unlock new features that aid you in your quest for revenge.
Sister Power: Meet Kirika and Masha, your sister maid protagonists. Each brings her distinct battling style; one wields demonic firearms while the other strikes foes up close with her trusty whip!
Couch and Online Co-op: Dive into the adventure either together on the same couch or online, with each player controlling a sister. This opens up a multitude of strategies to uncover hidden realms or conquer challenging adversaries through collaboration.
Collect and Craft: As you defeat enemies and unearth chests, you’ll gather a variety of consumables, sub-weapons, and unique upgrades called “Demon Relics.” These treasures provide new abilities vital for accessing uncharted regions of the map.
Choose your “Style”: Embracing the “Style” system from its predecessor, you can switch among “Casual,” “Veteran,” or “Legend” modes at any moment, with all content harmonized across the different play styles.
Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark will be available globally for digital download on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch on March 27, 2025. A physical edition is planned to follow shortly after.
