Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Introduces a Fresh Journey Through Westeros

The game presents a fresh narrative situated during the latter part of Season 4 of the iconic series. You’ll step into the shoes of a new character, the heir to House Tyre, a minor Northern house entwined in the realm’s political machinations.

Your adventure will lead you to cross paths with iconic figures like Jon Snow, Samwell Tarly, Lord Varys, and Cersei Lannister. You’ll witness legendary events, such as House Bolton’s shifting loyalties, like never before. As you traverse the continent, you’ll visit legendary locales such as King’s Landing, Castle Black, and Highgarden, expertly recreated to capture their TV counterparts’ essence.

Explore the game’s open world and wander freely through these well-known locations, as well as the untamed regions beyond the Wall and newly-discovered towns. Each town presents unique quests and challenges that enrich the deep lore of the Game of Thrones universe.

Your character’s combat style hinges on their class, with three enticing choices at your disposal: Knight, Sellsword, or Assassin. The Knight wields a longsword, using precise and calculated strikes, reminiscent of the Westerosi knights. As a Sellsword, your character channels raw power, inspired by the Wildlings and Dothraki. If you opt for the Assassin class, expect the agile menace of double daggers, drawing influence from the Faceless Men and Dorne warriors.

Each class provides distinct gear, skills, and traits, allowing players to carve their unique path. Traits are divided into Attack, Defense, and Support categories, each housing nodes that deliver specific perks. Whether you focus on mastering one field or diversifying your growth, the choice is yours. You can unlock and equip special skills across four available slots, tailored uniquely to each class.

Combat relies on anticipating enemy attacks and reacting with precision. While guarding and parrying are part of your arsenal, some enemy attacks are unstoppable unless dodged. Staying alert, analyzing enemy patterns, and choosing the right moment to attack are key to emerging victorious.

Apart from the single-player main storyline, the game features a multiplayer mode called Altar of Memories. Here, you can join forces with other players to battle legendary beasts, including gigantic ice spiders, Skagos unicorns, majestic griffins, and grotesque cockatrices.
