A recent reveal from Zenless Zone Zero has fans buzzing as a potential new skin for the character Yi Xuan has surfaced, set to drop with Version 2.0. Before we get there, though, Zenless Zone Zero is readying for its 1.7 update, the end point for the current cycle.
With Version 1.7, HoYoverse is unleashing two fresh S-Rank Agents. First up is Vivian, a unique Ether Anomaly character from the Mockingbird faction, introduced in the first half. The spotlight, however, truly shines on Hugo Vlad, an Ice Attack unit whose arrival in the second phase is stirring quite the excitement. Since debuting in Version 1.5, both agents have been creating a buzz, but recent teasers are raising expectations even higher, especially with the talk around Yi Xuan, rumored to debut with a brand-new skin.
Seele Leaks, a trusted source, dropped some suggestive images showcasing an alternative look for Yi Xuan, teased earlier in Zenless Zone Zero’s Season 2 trailer. This new look swaps her original yellow jacket and white boots for a sleek black dress with long sleeves, paired with dark stockings and boots. Prior leaks have hinted that Yi Xuan will be an S-Rank Ether-type character.
If this revelation holds water, Yi Xuan’s debut alongside her new skin in Version 2.0 would be quite the spectacle. Unlike other gacha games that wait a few patches before offering character skins, Zenless Zone Zero appears to buck the trend. Recall Astra Yao receiving her skin during her debut back in the 1.5 update. It’s already confirmed that Yi Xuan will play a pivotal role in the narrative of Version 2.0, leading the Yunkui Summit group alongside Wise and Belle. Speculation is also ripe that she might appear as soon as the upcoming 1.7 update.
