This year is shaping up to be an exciting one for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers. So far, gamers can look forward to four new titles joining the Game Catalog as part of the service. One of the standout games is FBC: Firebreak, a multiplayer first-person shooter from Remedy Entertainment, which has just announced a new release window for summer 2025.
Set in the intriguing world of The Oldest House — the home of the Federal Bureau of Control and the backdrop of the hit game Control — FBC: Firebreak shifts gears from Remedy’s usual narrative-heavy style. This time, the focus is squarely on gameplay. Remedy is aiming to craft a live-service experience that sidesteps the typical “fear of missing out” pitfalls, ensuring that all content remains free and accessible at your own pace.
In the latest trailer, we’re introduced to the Paper Chase Job, one of the many missions players will tackle in FBC: Firebreak. In this scenario, the Firebreak Initiative is tasked with clearing a part of The Oldest House overtaken by rebellious sticky notes. The trailer also gives us a peek at the different loadouts players can use to defend against the persistent threat of the Hiss.
When it drops, FBC: Firebreak will be playable on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and available for PC users via Epic Games Store and Steam.
But that’s not all — FBC: Firebreak is just one of the four games debuting in the Game Catalog. Players can also revel in titles like Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Blue Prince, and Abiotic Factor. For those on the edge of their seats, the first chapter of Lost Records is accessible to PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers now, with its next installment coming next month.
Additionally, PS Plus members get a head start on the PS Store’s Spring Sale. Right now, subscribers can snag fantastic deals on popular games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
