Rebellion is gearing up to launch the first VR installment of Zombie Army, soon to be available across all leading VR headsets. Mark your calendars for May 22nd, as that’s when Zombie Army VR will hit Quest 2 and later, PSVR 2, and SteamVR headsets. This thrilling addition invites players to dive into the chaotic world of the Deadhunters, a top-notch team determined to bring an end to the looming apocalypse caused by the undead.
The game will have you battling your way through the zombie-infested ruins of Nuremberg. Your mission? Assist Captain Hermann Wolff, the renowned leader of the Deadhunters, in reuniting with his lost family while striving to liberate Europe from the undead invasion.
Zombie Army VR boasts a compelling, story-driven campaign that can be tackled solo or with a friend in two-player co-op mode. Players can look forward to wielding authentic WWII weaponry, including sniper rifles, submachine guns, and pistols, which offer the satisfying realism of dual-wielding and manual operation.
Earn experience points to enhance your Deadhunter’s abilities and utilize Weapon Upgrade kits to tweak your firearms’ range, accuracy, scope, and capacity to your liking. Prepare for a face-off with not just your typical Nazi walkers but a variety of foes from the franchise’s gallery of dangers, including Armored Giants, Suiciders, and Sniper Zombies. For fans of Sniper Elite VR (2021), you’ll be pleased to find the X-ray Kill Cam returning to Zombie Army VR, capturing those perfect long-range shots in dramatic slow motion.
